How do I select a cause?

Open the app and tap “Give.” Tap “Explore causes.” In the search bar, type in the name of the cause you want to support. Tap on the preferred cause and you’ll be taken to their profile page. Tap on the heart on the right side of the page below the main image. Now you’ve saved a cause and it will appear on the “Give” page under “My Causes.”

How can I find causes to support?

Open the app and tap “Give.” Tap “Explore causes.” In the search bar, type in the name of the cause you want to support. Tap on the preferred cause and you’ll be taken to their profile page. Tap on the heart on the right side of the page below the main image. Now you’ve saved a cause and it will appear on the “Give” page under “My Causes.”

Can I give to multiple organizations?

Yes, you can give to as many organizations as you like! There’s no limit to the number of causes you can support.

How do I make a one-time donation?

Easy! Simply open the app and tap “Give” on the bar at the bottom of your screen. If you already have saved causes, simply tap “Make a donation” and follow the prompts. Make sure the button “One-time” is selected. Tap a preselected amount or enter your own amount. Tap “Add to cart.” This donation will be added to your cart. You can checkout whenever you’re ready. If you still need to find your cause, simply tap “Explore causes.” Type the name of the cause you want to support in the search bar, save it, then follow the directions above.

How do I set up a recurring donation?

Easy! Simply open the app and tap “Give” on the bar at the bottom of your screen. Find the cause you want to donate to. You’ll be prompted to select how you want the donation to be used. Tap “General donation.” Make sure the button “Monthly” is selected. Tap a preselected amount or enter your own amount. Tap “Buy Now” and you’ll be taken to checkout. Once this donation has been made, the card you have on file will continue to be charged each month for the same amount.

Are my donations tax deductible?

Check with your accountant to confirm if the organizations you support are eligible.

Will I get a receipt for tax purposes?

You will be sent a receipt for your donation and you can also find the transaction in “Wallet” under the tab “Purchases.”

Are there any fees associated with donating?

Yes, oftentimes an organization will ask for the supporter to cover the cost to process the transaction. It’s usually based on a percentage of the amount donated and will be added to your cart total.

How do I view my donation history?

Open the app. Tap on “Wallet” on the bar at the bottom of your screen and tap “Purchases.”

Is there a minimum amount for donations?

Yes, the minimum donation is $5.

Does Givebacks take a percentage of the donation?

Givebacks doesn’t take anything from your donation.

How do I change or cancel a recurring donation?

Open the app and tap the hamburger menu. Tap “Settings.” Tap “Donation settings,” then “Manage recurring donations.

Will the donation appear in my name?

Yes.

Can I customize my donation amounts?

Yes, you can pick any amount over $5 for a donation.

Is my information secure?

Yes, we use multiple technologies to ensure your information is safe and secure.

How do I add a credit card?

Open the app. Tap “Wallet.” Next to “Cards on file,” tap “Add card” and follow the prompts.

Can I use a debit card to donate?

Yes.
